RULE OF THE WEEK!

Dear Members,
The Gold Coast Over 35s utilise a 10-minute sin-bin policy to allow a ‘cooling-off’ period for players who commit offences including, but not limited to:
  • Slide tackles
  • Tackles from behind
  • Over aggressive play
  • Deliberate handball
  • ‘Professional foul’
  • Ungentlemanly conduct
  • Dissent and foul language
  • Goalkeepers sliding feet first
Please see below Rules relating to the above:
5.3 A sin-bin situation is to be implemented at the Referee's discretion. This is a ten-minute period off the field shown as a Yellow card.

5.4 Two yellow cards in a game will be considered the equivalent of a red card as in FIFA rules. A team may replace a player who has been sent to the sin-bin but not for a Red card offence.

5.5 If a player is given a red card (sent off) the player shall be suspended for the next 2 games that he is scheduled to play (e.g. 2 games for one team for a player who is only registered with 1 team or may be 1 game each for 2 teams if the player is dual registered depending on the draw). In all cases the player will miss the next 2 games they are scheduled to play and in addition will be ineligible to play as a 'Book' player until the suspension is completed.

It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be aware of the Rules and I urge you to read the full set at: https://soccer-over35.com/about/rules/
