SUBJECT: New Season – Message from President
Dear Members,
The Winter Comp starts tonight and on behalf of the Committee I would like to say a big thank you for your continued support of the Gold Coast Over 35s Soccer Association.
Overall the Summer Season went very well and feedback I received from players and Team Leaders has been one of satisfaction and enjoyment.
The issue we had in the early stages of bad behaviour and dissent has drastically reduced and we request that this trend continues adding to the pleasure of playing football at our Club.
The trial of 5 mins for a YELLOW card without a replacement has contributed to better discipline from players and this will be a permanent fixture this season.
Personally, I have had numerous meetings with Referees and Ref co-ordinator Paul White to ensure we have improved standards in our Officials and in general I believe this has also proved successful.
Our youngsters running the line have also made a great contribution to the Club and the Committee ask you to be polite and respectful to the guys.
Rule of the Week will re-commence as from 28th July with some very interesting videos of interpretation of the handball rule!
