CASUAL PLAYERS

Gentlemen, the casual player was introduced mainly for players who worked away or had shifts and could not play every week.

Certainly the list is growing and to some extent not being used in the spirit it was intended.

Casual is not a form of credit to play and pay, it is not designed so you can get extra games with other teams and it is not there to support injuries which is part of eveyones game at some point.

In the next competition all casuals will need to reapply (its OK for this winter season)

OK After a very positive committee meeting last night a few changes have been made and generally these decisions were from feed back from members.

With immediate effect casual playing fees are $10 to bring it more in line with what registered players pay.

The book player rule to make up 11 players only has been extended to 12, so you can now have a sub, however book players must still play 50% of the game.

Assist players can be arranged free of charge, they can be found by the team leader or the club can issue, but they must go through the registrar, let me know if i can help with this. [email protected]

Teams in the 45 age group can have two players at 42 years of age or above in the squad.

Finally we have made some really positive in roads as to decent to Officials, although there is still room for improvement i would ask that every single player take responsibility for this and definitely never ever aim any of your disagreements at our young linesmen!
